Subaru Loves Learning

Subaru Loves Learning

We do not only want to produce great vehicles – Subaru loves learning, too. We want to be a vehicle for promoting positive change in our communities, including facilitating a better learning environment for students. Specifically, we want to see kids in high-needs schools receive the tools they need to thrive, which is why we aim to donate school supplies to deserving institutions this summer.

With this in mind, please make your voices heard! Working with AdoptAClassroom.org, which has already raised $57 million on behalf of 5.8 million U.S. students since 1998, Subaru and its retailers have been able to help 470,000 students nationwide, making us this charity’s largest corporate supporter. It is a title we feel honored to have and one we hope to continue to earn.

This program will be ongoing until 2026, ensuring that all schools on the list receive school supplies through our program.

To that end, we aim to provide funding to five area schools. We ask you to vote for the winners from the following list of options here in Lexington, KY:

  • Arlington
  • Booker T. Washington
  • Breckinridge
  • Cardinal Valley
  • Coventry Oak
  • Deep Springs
  • Harrison
  • James Lane Allen
  • Lansdowne
  • Mary Todd
  • Northern
  • Russell Cave
  • Tates Creek
  • William Wells Brown
  • Yates

Every school listed above has 75% or more of their students receiving free or reduced lunches. With a little support, these classrooms can better nurture the next generation of teachers, doctors, writers, computer programmers, service technicians, community leaders, and countless other vital young professionals.

Individuals can place a vote every day for the length of the contest, which runs from July 1-26, 2024. No purchase is necessary – just a few seconds of your time. The equivalent of $30,000 worth of school supplies will be split and donated between the five schools with the most votes. Tune in to see the results on July 29th.

The delivery of the school items will be made between August 5th and August 10th, just in time for the start of the new school year. While we aim to cater the specific supplies provided to the needs of the individual schools so that they can have the greatest impact possible, donated items often include art and reading supplies, whiteboards, textbooks, and hand sanitizer.
