The Quantrell Subaru Back-to-School Program has once again made a difference for local schools in Lexington, KY. During the first year of this program, the initiative brings together members of the community, charitable organizations, and local businesses to provide high-need elementary schools with the resources they need to thrive in the upcoming year. To launch the program this year, Quantrell Subaru started with a list of local elementary schools where 75% or more of students are receiving free or reduced lunches. From July 1st to July 25th, participants were invited to vote on our website daily for their top five schools. To increase outreach, local news station WKYT hosted the contest. The five winners would receive $6,000 worth of school supplies. The contest ended at 11:59 pm EDT on July 26th, with incredible community participation of 39,861 votes! The winners with the most votes were selected for this year's Back-to-School Event. With the support of the local community, Quantrell Subaru made an impact at Northern, Yates, Russell Cave, Arlington, and Mary Todd elementary schools. Quantrell Subaru has committed to helping the remaining schools with school supplies for the next two years. In addition to helping these five winners, our team at Quantrell Subaru wanted to go the extra mile to support our local learners. Through a new partnership with Chick-fil-A, Vincent Fister Moving and Storage, Mission of Hope, and local TV stations WKYT and WTVQ – came about the Back2School Drive, where the local TV stations collected school supplies for the five winning schools, as well as schools in the Greater Appalachia area of eastern Kentucky. On July 25th, our dedicated volunteers collected, packaged, and delivered 2,100 pounds of school supplies. Thanks to everyone's outstanding efforts, supplies were distributed at the beginning of August to help the faculties prepare for the school year ahead. According to David Heatherly, the Executive Director of Mission of Hope, we were "able to provide 10,000 students at 29 elementary schools in rural Appalachia with brand-new backpacks, school supplies, and hygiene items. All these items help the students start off the new school year with the supplies they need to get started on the road to a successful school year. Thank you for your volunteer spirit and compassionate support, which helps us continue to be able to bring HOPE to all those in need in the most impoverished areas of rural Appalachia." Building on the success of the school supply drive, Quantrell Subaru also partnered with a local author, JoEllen Wilhoite, who wrote Safari Safety, an interactive children's book that empowers kids to navigate danger. JoEllen will be reading to each winning school about the importance of safety. Moving forward, Quantrell Subaru will continue contributing to local schools in Kentucky. Specifically, we plan to focus on Fayette County elementary schools, where 75% or more students receive free or reduced lunch. Here are the qualifications for potential participation in this program: A child whose family income is at or below 130% of the poverty level can receive free meals. A child whose family income is between 130% and 185% of the poverty level can receive reduced-cost meals (never more than 40 cents per meal). Students whose family participates in federal assistance programs such as SNAP or KTAP can be directly certified for meal benefits. If a child's family income is over 185% of poverty, the student will pay the full price for meals, which are still cost-subsidized by the local school program sponsor. We think this quote from Michael Jones, the Principal at Mary Todd Elementary, says it all: "Thanks again for this opportunity. Quantrell Subaru epitomizes what it means to be a corporation with a heart. These school supplies will make it better for our kiddos for the entire school year. We all focus on the back-to-school, but the reality is that there is student need year-round. These supplies will provide immediate assistance and help to sustain student learning all year."

Quantrell Subaru truly went above and beyond with our partnership in our stations (CBS News affiliate) first Back-to-School Supply Drive for Central and Eastern Kentucky elementary schools. Not only did they collect a generous amount of supplies, but they also made sure that every donation directly benefited local students in need. The team at Quantrell Subaru demonstrated an unwavering commitment to our community, coordinating efforts with precision and heart. Their dedication ensured that countless children started the school year prepared and confident. It’s clear that Quantrell Subaru is not just about selling cars—they’re about making a meaningful difference in the lives of those around them. We are incredibly grateful for their generosity and support!

This school year Subaru went above and beyond by recognizing the educational needs of the community they serve! Arlington Elementary School small neighborhood school where most of our families live in walking distance. We have a deep history in the community, as we celebrate our 125th year of being Arlington Elementary! As a neighborhood school, we get to know the families well and it was with great excitement that we were able to share that Arlington was one of five schools to win school supplies! The Subaru Loves Learning contest provided a much needed financial relief to families by donating schools supplies valued at $6000.00! Our families were beyond thrilled to this year to learn about the donation from Quantrell Subaru. The beginning of a school year is filled with excitement for children. Some relish the idea of being able to buy new things for school, such as lunch boxes or backpacks that may highlight an aspect of their personality. We know that purchasing school supplies can become pricey. As many know, we are in some economically speaking expensive times. The smiles on the faces of families was contagious as they were told that school supplies where provided by Quantrell Subaru. This opportunity knowing that basic needs, such as pencils, paper, notebooks, crayons, markers and more would not be an expense families had to incur. Additionally, we received classroom supplies, such as Clorox wipes, Kleenex, playdough, washable paint and more! This generosity affords families the chance to purchase that special lunch box or backpack knowing that our school would have these items. It was most assuredly one expense and worry that they could be put to rest knowing their student would have all they need this year. The Subaru Loves Learning Contest also provided an opportunity for community to come together in a way that really impacts the local school. When we shared this exciting news with teachers, they were happy to know see the community support! We know that many teachers do spend their own funds on school supplies as they want to support students and provide what is needed. When asked by one on our first-year teachers what are some common items a family may not buy. We were able to respond with Quantrell has us covered! We were equally pleased to see that not one school, but five schools received such a generous amount of school supplies. We appreciate the efforts it took to create a contest that impacted so many in the Lexington area. Thank you Quantrell Subaru for seeing this need and sponsoring an event that will impact so many families in Lexington!

Thank you to Quantrell Subaru for your generous donation of school supplies to Yates Elementary. Our families, students, and teachers deeply appreciate your generosity and thoughtfulness. It is wonderful to have community partners who give back, especially to our schools. Seeing our students start the school year with new supplies, just like everyone else, is truly magical. Yates Elementary is grateful for this award. As we work together to better our community and the students we serve, we are reminded that "Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much."

My name is Dr. Rachel Butler and I'm the proud new principal of Northern Elementary school. Throughout the month of July, my community, staff, family and friends all worked together to vote for our school in the Quantrell Subaru school supply contest. Quantrell Subaru delivered $6,000 worth of school supplies to our students and teachers two weeks ago. This lifted an unbelievable financial burden for so many of our families as we were able to build backpacks with complete supply lists and hand them to students at open house. Students were able to walk in the building with the same sense of pride and belonging as their peers and start their school year with a smile and a mindset ready for learning.

Dear Quantrell Subaru, We are writing to express our profound gratitude for your extraordinary generosity and unwavering commitment to our community. Your recent donation has made an immeasurable impact on our school, and we are truly inspired by your dedication to supporting education and the well-being of our students. Moreover, the friendly competition engaged our families and community in a way that I couldn't even imagine. Our school with an enrollment of just under 400 students, received nearly 10,000 votes! We were totally blown away by the response that we were able to generate in our community. Quantrell Subaru has gone far beyond the expectations of a corporate sponsor. Your donation of essential supplies, including tissues, cleaning wipes, and hand sanitizer, will have a direct and positive impact on the learning environment for our students and teachers alike. By providing these crucial items, you have alleviated a significant financial burden for our educators and ensured that every student has the necessary resources to succeed. Teachers often find themselves stretching their own budgets to provide their students with the tools they need. Your donation frees up valuable resources for our teachers to focus on what truly matters: inspiring young minds and fostering a love of learning. We are immensely grateful for your recognition of the challenges faced by our educators and for your commitment to supporting their work. Several of our teachers commented, "This is Awesome!!" in response to the donation. Perhaps most importantly, your donation has created a more equitable learning environment for all our students. By ensuring that every child has access to essential supplies, you have helped to eliminate feelings of inadequacy and fostered a sense of belonging. This is a cornerstone of creating a supportive and inclusive school community. Your support extends far beyond the classroom. By investing in our students' well-being, you are also investing in the future of our community. Your generosity will have a ripple effect, empowering our students to reach their full potential and become engaged, productive members of society. Quantrell Subaru's commitment to our community is truly inspiring. Your actions demonstrate a deep understanding of the needs of our school and a genuine desire to make a positive difference. We are honored to partner with an organization that shares our values and is dedicated to creating a brighter future for all. Thank you for living out your Love Promise in such a meaningful way. Your support has touched the lives of countless students and teachers, and we are eternally grateful. Michael Jones Principal Mary Todd Elementary

The Carnegie Center is a home to writers and lifelong learners. Our mission is to empower people to explore and express their voices through imaginative learning and the literary arts. We host free, family events that merge learning, literacy, the literary arts, and hands-on fun at our historic building year-round. One of our most popular events each year is the Back 2 School Bash, held in late summer. During this free event, the Carnegie Center invites families in Lexington, KY, and surrounding areas to celebrate the beginning of the school year through hands-on arts and learning activities, a catered meal, and free backpacks for all children, pre- filled with school supplies. We are proud and grateful to have Quantrell Auto Group as a sponsor and partner for this annual community event. On the morning of Saturday, July 27th, 2024 families from all backgrounds, neighborhoods, and schools came to the Carnegie Center and historic Gratz Park, a public historic park that serves as the Carnegie Center’s backyard. The air buzzed with excitement as children and their families enjoyed lively carnival games and inflatables provided by Thompson Catering, face painting by Dynamic Face Painters, children’s crafts hosted by On the Move Art Studio, and stilt walking, balloon twisting, and juggling by Best Party Ever. Children who had never met before this day played together as if they’d been friends for years, and their parents, grandparents, and other caregivers connected and shared stories of their summers before the school year began. Local children book authors Patsi Trollinger and Kay Saffari were on-site to meet the children. The Carnegie Center purchased and distributed copies of Patsi Trollinger’s PERFECT TIMING, a beautifully illustrated book about Kentuckian Isaac Murphy, the grandson of enslaved people who had one of the most successful jockey careers in the history of racing, and Kay Saffari’s WE ALL COUNT, a colorful book that includes lessons of acceptance of others regardless of race, religion, or abilities. Families were gifted free copies of these empowering books to add to their home libraries. Children had the opportunity to meet the authors and have them personally sign their books. This year, over 100 free books went home with families. Numerous studies shows that students who have more books in their homes perform better academically. Book giveaway programs, like those offered at our Back 2 School Bash, improve these disparities, especially among low-income and minority children, who are most affected. We gave away 137 brand-new backpacks to local families, each filled with school supplies for school-aged children to ensure that they received the tools they needed to learn throughout the school year. Backpacks were separated by age group and carefully curated to match the needs of the various ages of children who attended the event. A recent study by NielsonIQ reported that the costs of supplies had risen 10% just in the last year, and 20% of families wouldn’t be able to purchase anything on their school supply list due to the rising costs, leaving many teachers to buy school supplies out of their own pockets for their classrooms. With the support of Quantrell Subaru, the Carnegie Center was able to relieve some of the burden families and educators face when preparing their students for academic success. We are thankful for Quantrell Subaru’s support in helping students have an equal chance to succeed in the classroom. One student told a staff member, “These are really nice quality backpacks.” Alfalfa’s, a local, Black-owned restaurant, served a nourishing breakfast to families who attended in Carnegie Center’s Jesse Stuart ballroom. Thanks to the support of Quantrell Subaru, everything at Back 2 School Bash was entirely free for any family who wanted to participate. Joyful sounds reverberated through the building and the park as children showed off their face paintings, excitedly dug through their new backpacks, and ate fresh fruit and a hot breakfast with their families. Volunteers handed out backpacks, answered questions, and ushered children and their families from the park and through the Carnegie Center’s main rooms. A Carnegie staff member heard a child ask their parent, “Can we come back next year?” Thank you to Quantrell Subaru for helping us make our Back 2 School Bash a huge success! Events like this are essential to our community, fostering connections among people who might not otherwise meet and bridging gaps for hardworking families in need. With the support of Quantrell Subaru, the children in our community will be returning to school with age-appropriate school supplies, new backpacks, and the warm memories of a fun and welcoming morning at our Back 2 School Bash. We could not have made this event possible without your support, and we are so grateful for your investment in the children and families of Central Kentucky.

Earlier this year, I reached out to Quantrell to learn more about the Subaru Forester. I had heard that the Forester was the best car for seniors and those with mobility challenges. My initial call resulted in a wonderful conversation with Emily Moore. Emily couldn't have been more helpful, and our call ended with her scheduling a time for a Forester to be brought to Ashland Terrace for our residents to "test out." A few days later, Derrick Crockett pulled in our parking lot with a beautiful, red Subaru. Several of our gals got in and out, with ease. They made comments like, "This is so cool! When can we get it?!" "It's so easy to get in and out." It was at this moment that we knew this was the car for us. Being a non-profit, we did not have the funds available to purchase the Forester. After being declined for a grant, I reached out to Brentley Jones to see if Quantrell might be willing to help. After playing phone tag for a bit, Brentley and I finally connected. Brentley was genuinely interested in learning about Ashland Terrace and our mission. I invited him to come have lunch with us so he could meet our residents and see first-hand what our community is all about. In early July, Brentley joined us for lunch, met our gals and learned why we needed a new car, in particular the Forester. Just a week later, Emily and Derrick delivered a 2025 Subaru Forester (with a red bow attached)! Quantrell donated almost half, and the remainder of the cost was covered by a long-time friend of Ashland Terrace. Our residents were so excited they decided she needed a name. We had several great suggestions with the winning name being "Miss Daisy"! Miss Daisy is the perfect car for us! She's safe, reliable and accessible for our gals. Many thanks to Emily, Brentley, Derrick and Bob (in finance) for making this dream come true! We are touched by Quantrell's generosity and kindness!

Quantrell Subaru has been a strong supporter of Chrysalis House and an advocate for individuals in recovery for many years. Their support of the women receiving treatment for substance use disorder and their children has shown a bright light on the courage, resilience, and determination to overcome barriers and challenges these women embody in their dedication to pursuing a new way of life. From their donations of diaper bags and much needed baby items, school supplies, sponsorship of recreational family activities, and Chrysalis House fundraisers, Quantrell Subaru exemplifies the very definition of community. Chrysalis House’s mission of providing family-oriented treatment and recovery support for women with substance use disorder would not be possible without the generous support of Quantrell Subaru. Their belief in the possibility of recovery and commitment to investing in families help to break the generational cycles of substance use, poverty, and health disparities, building stronger communities and improving the quality of life for everyone. Quantrell Subaru has taken to heart the very meaningful quote from Margaret Meade, “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed, citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.” Chrysalis House and the thousands of families that have been impacted by our services over the past 45 years express our sincere gratitude for Quantrell’s small group of people that are making a big impact in the fight to change our world for the better!

God’s Pantry Food Bank empowers a network of over 500 food pantries and meal programs across Central and Eastern Kentucky. Together, we work to reduce hunger for nearly 265,000 neighbors experiencing food insecurity in our region, including 1 in 4 children and 1 in 14 seniors. In the 2023 fiscal year, God’s Pantry Food Bank delivered over 43 million pounds of food to our five distribution centers, including nearly 17 million pounds of nutritious produce. Through the utilization of mobile pantries, school pantries, healthcare pantries, backpack programs and more, we meet our neighbors where they are to ensure reliable access to healthy food. The Food Bank works tirelessly with our partners and neighbors to build fed and thriving communities. We share food with every person seeking assistance, regardless of their identity or background, and will continue this work until there is a nourished life for every Kentuckian. The success of our mission is reliant upon the collective response of individual, organizational, and corporate partnerships. One of the most impactful fundraising events we host to help bring us closer to our vision of a nourished life for everyone is Taste of the Bluegrass, an event held every spring, which consistently raises funds for our food bank through this network of partnerships. Taste of the Bluegrass is the longest running tasting event in Lexington, Kentucky, and has been showcasing the best local dishes and drinks in our area for 42 years. This event helps God’s Pantry Food Bank make hunger visible, build community, and raise the funds needed to increase the accessibility of nutritious food for our neighbors at risk of hunger. It also provides an opportunity for local restaurants, breweries, wineries, and distilleries to share their best dishes and drinks while being active participants in their community’s betterment. When asked why they participated in this year’s Taste of the Bluegrass, one of the co-owners of Mazunte Bodega, a local catering business, replied, “We are a new business, and we wanted to put our best foot forward by being part of the community and giving back.” Another event vendor, CanDees—The Suite of Sweets, said it best: “As a small business, we can’t do much, but we can participate in Taste to support those who are facing hunger.” The feedback from vendors echoed what incredible opportunities for good are created by this event. Country Boy Brewing said that, of the more than 200 events they attend each year, Taste of the Bluegrass is their favorite. They enjoy participating not only because the event raises money for hunger relief in Central and Eastern Kentucky, but also because it gives their business an opportunity to connect with others who are giving back to the communities they love. Spark Community Café expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to attend Taste of the Bluegrass, as they recognize the impact that collaboration has on increasing food security for people living in our region. “We tackle food insecurity in Woodford County. And we want to make sure that, regardless of whether you can pay or not, everyone can get a farm fresh, locally sourced meal.” Executive Director Annabelle Maple went on to say that being able to participate in an event hosted by an organization like God’s Pantry Food Bank that has a similar mission makes it more likely that food insecurity can be better addressed where she lives. The success of Taste of the Bluegrass is integral to the Food Bank’s ability to bring hunger relief to the 50 counties we serve, 10 of which are known as one of our nation’s 25 most food insecure counties. And this event would not be successful without generous sponsorships like the one given by Quantrell Subaru. The team at Quantrell Subaru has consistently answered the call to action from the Food Bank to help create thriving, nourished communities in our region. Not only have they sponsored events that help magnify the fundraising ability of God’s Pantry Food Bank, but they have also supported hunger relief through their own fundraising efforts like their recent Share the Love event. Proceeds from Share the Love will create over 413,000 additional meals for neighbors experiencing food insecurity in Central and Eastern Kentucky. Quantrell Subaru knows that reducing hunger takes us all. Their commitment to supporting God’s Pantry Food Bank is testament to that. Their continued generosity is making an impact in Central and Eastern Kentucky and is in line with Subaru’s unwavering efforts to make a positive impact in the world and to love and respect all people. We are so grateful to have their partnership. Thank you, Quantrell Subaru!

Working together with Woodford Humane Society and WKYT, Quantrell Subaru helped dozens of homeless pets find their families throughout 2023/24 by getting their faces and stories out on the air! Quantrell Subaru helped develop and sponsored a regular adoptable pet segment on WKYT's Everyday Kentucky called FurEver Friends, showcasing Woodford Humane pets. Over the course of the partnership, nearly all of the TV-star pets found their "furever" homes, some with FurEver Friends viewers. Many more who never made it on TV themselves benefitted from the extra awareness generated by their less camera-shy compatriots. Thank you Quantrell Subaru for helping us connect pets to their people, and for giving the important work Woodford Humane does some time in the spotlight, too!

On April 13, 2024, more than 450 volunteers came out to help us celebrate 25 years of Reforest the Bluegrass by planting tree seedlings. This year we returned to the very first Reforest location, Coldstream Park, and the day was full of sunshine and community; tying together the importance of planting trees to help our planet with the fun of being active outside together. By the end of the event more than 4700 trees. Since the start of Reforest in 1999, the community has planted more than 212,000 trees, with multiple generations of families having helped grow Lexington’s urban forest. We are so thankful for the Quantrell Subaru's continued support for the Reforest the Bluegrass program. Through their support, we are able to continue to make our city healthier by increasing our tree canopy, protect our waterways, and connecting each of us with the outdoors and one another. Subaru has built its reputation as a community partner through the support of events like this, making the world a better place, and we are very thankful for this partnership.

Bluegrass Families First established the Jean Sabharwal Award in 2014 to recognize individuals or groups in Lexington who have demonstrated passionate advocacy for young children and their families. This year, we were grateful to have the support of Quantrell Subaru as a major sponsor to honor Darlene Thomas with the 2024 Jean Sabharwal Award. Since December 2004, Darlene Thomas has served as founder/Executive Director for GreenHouse17. The Nest has created a new event within our Family Assistance Program to address the needs of expectant mothers. With Quantrell Subaru's partnership, The Nest Community Baby Shower helps 25 of our pregnant clients feel supported and special, every quarter. Each soon-to-be mom receives a bag of new baby items such as a new outfit, infant bottles, bibs, pacifier's, and other assorted goodies. Every bag is curated to the client. This is possible because of our close and personal relationship with each client. Providing essential baby items and hygiene supplies ensures every newborn receives a healthy and nurturing start in life. In addition, The Nest Community Baby Shower, through Quantrell Subaru's generosity, takes care of the expectant mothers on our car seat list. Mothers cannot bring their newborns home from the hospital without a car seat. Additionally, we are able to connect our expectant moms with other community partners and resources they can benefit from in Lexington throughout motherhood. Quantrell Subaru is instrumental in helping The Nest realize our goal to alleviate the financial burden and stress that new parents often face. This proactive approach allows new parents to focus on providing a safe and loving environment for their babies.

CASA of Lexington’s Bourbon and the Bayou Mardi Gras gala is the nonprofit organization’s largest annual fundraiser. It provides funding to advocate for hundreds of abused and neglected children in central Kentucky every year. This year’s gala was held on Feb. 23, at the Embassy Suites Coldstream in Lexington, Ky. The event was sold out, with 450 attendees enjoying bourbon tastings, live and silent auctions, a Cajun dinner buffet, hot beignets, live music, games and dancing. The big moment of the night is always the Sponsor a Child bonanza, when attendees raise their bidder numbers to donate $1,000 and provide an advocate for a child for one year. This year’s event set a record with 125 children sponsored. As a Silver Sponsor of Bourbon and the Bayou this year, Quantrell Subaru has provided six children with an advocate. We could not host this event without the support of our sponsors, so Quantrell Subaru is also responsible for part of every dollar raised. This event can raise more than $300,000 in all. Quantrell Subaru is one of our longest-giving sponsors for this event, having supported it continuously since 2019. They have given a total of $26,000 to help abused and neglected children during that time. CASA of Lexington is one of more than 900 Court-Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) programs in the U.S. and the largest CASA program in Kentucky. We had 297 volunteer advocates in 2023, who advocated for 681 children. These are children from many different backgrounds who have been neglected or abused by their caregivers. Some have been educationally neglected; some haven’t been provided with food, safe shelter or clothing; some have suffered extreme sexual or physical abuse. Kentucky’s rate of child abuse and neglect is well above the national average and may also be under-reported. In CASA of Lexington’s service region in 2023, there were more than 1,700 children who were identified as having suffered abuse, neglect or dependency. The child welfare and family court systems in Kentucky do not have the resources or workforce to appropriately care for all of these children. CASA volunteers are appointed by judges to provide an extra set of eyes on children and offer recommendations that are in each child’s best interests. CASA of Lexington volunteers visit their assigned children monthly, showing them someone is looking out for them and giving them hope for the future. On various cases, our volunteers have uncovered previously unknown abuse, identified overlooked medical conditions, found relatives willing to take children in and pushed back on inappropriate plans from the state that would be harmful for the children. We have given thousands of children brighter futures, thanks to the support of dedicated sponsors like Quantrell Subaru, which understands the importance of giving our children safe, permanent, and loving homes. During this year’s Bourbon and the Bayou, Executive Director Melynda Jamison shared the story of one child who benefited greatly from his CASA volunteer. Stuart (a pseudonym to protect the child’s privacy) was removed from a dangerous home, but then separated from his siblings and placed in an expensive treatment facility for children with substance use disorder. Stuart had never used and alcohol or drugs, and why he was placed there remains a question to this day. Stuart’s CASA volunteer advocated for his medical needs while he was in the treatment facility, then became the only person on the case regularly visiting Stuart after he was moved to a foster home. Stuart’s CASA volunteer also pushed for him to have visits with his siblings, even though the state was adamantly opposed. Stuart’s CASA volunteer was instrumental in determining that Stuart had been incorrectly labeled with behavioral problems he did not have; and that Stuart’s new foster home was willing to adopt not only him, but his siblings, as well. Today, Stuart and his siblings are living together and adoption will soon be finalized. Without his CASA volunteer, Stuart would likely have lived apart from his siblings the rest of his life — and his siblings may never have found a permanent home. Thanks to Quantrell Subaru, there are dozens of children with stories like Stuart’s today — stories that end far better than they would have without CASA. We are blessed to have an organization like Quantrell Subaru in our community, which is willing to invest in making things better for children now, and better for all of us in the future. And we are already looking forward to next year’s Bourbon and the Bayou!

Since 2017 Quantrell Subaru has supported Capital City Activity Center/Meals on Wheels Greater Frankfort by providing a new Subaru SUV to collect food for Frankfort's senior center's Helping Hands Food Pantry. This event is called Cram the Subaru. The SUV is parked at the entrance of the center and community donors drive by and load nonperishable food items into the rear of the vehicle. This event helps to restock the food pantry which helps seniors in Frankfort/Franklin County who suffer from food insecurity. The staff of Quantrell Subaru is wonderful to work with and they have such a big heart for serving seniors. They also have helped deliver meals on wheels to seniors and have served Christmas lunch to seniors in a congregate setting. We love working with Diana and Derrick and our seniors love them and they love Subaru America and Meals on Wheels America for supporting seniors!

Our 8th annual Pack the Lobby Event was a huge success for our community and neighbors in eastern Kentucky. Over the past year, eastern Kentucky has been recovering from a devastating flood making this donation event more impactful than ever before. We partnered with Quantrell Subaru again who already has made an huge impact with flood clean-up in eastern Kentucky this year. Pack the lobby served over 1,000 families in eastern Kentucky with toys, warm clothing and hygiene products. Projects like this couldn’t be as successful without our partners from Quantrell Subaru. Quantrell Subaru generously donated for our shopping day to kick off our Pack the Lobby Event. They also had their own drive at the dealership and brought toys to the event. We are looking forward to Pack the Lobby next year and to continue our great partnership with Quantrell Subarbu.

This year, The Nest celebrated 46 YEARS of being a lifeline for all individuals and families in crisis, facing adversity, or who have unexpected needs. In addition, with Quantrell Subaru's incredible support, The Nest hosted our 46th annual Reindeer Express holiday event on Friday, December 15th, 2023. Reindeer Express provides brand new toys, coats, books, art supplies, and a holiday meal food box to local families who have used The Nest’s services within the past year. We invited 1,500 children and Quantrell Subaru's involvement ensured a successful event. Reindeer Express is an opportunity for our community to come together during this season of giving to ensure that all children have the magical holiday they deserve. Quantrell Subaru is an unwavering community partner and we are most grateful for their generosity. The Nest's mission is to help prevent abuse and neglect in children and adults. Our holistic approach incorporates four FREE programs: early childhood education and care, family assistance for basic human needs, counseling and advocacy for survivors of intimate partner violence, and education and support for parents. Partners like Quantrell Subaru make it possible for our work to continue. Their contributions make a significant impact in our community and we are so very thankful.

October has become a special time of year at Woodford Humane Society thanks to our friends at Quantrell Subaru! During Subaru Loves Pets, they help us share dozens of our adoptable animals with the wider world - and give a special focus to the Underdogs, pets with special needs who may otherwise have a hard time finding homes. Sometimes the difference between homeless and adopted is helping the right person catch a glimpse of the right pet! In addition to helping share adoptable pets' stories online, Quantrell Subaru also hosted a fun Make A Dog's Day adoption event in their showroom on October 20. Four kittens and two dogs got to spend an afternoon greeting staff and customers while looking for their forever homes! Two kittens were adopted, and one of our current Underdogs, Big Mac (pictured), had a wonderful time getting tons of attention, making new friends, and watching the kittens play. Thank you Quantrell Subaru for making Subaru Loves Pets special for the animals at Woodford Humane Society!

We are very grateful for the support we received from Quantrell Subaru for the Lexington BeagleFest event we held on October 21st. In July 2022, 4,000 beagles were rescued from a mass breeding facility in Virginia. There were 60 beagles adopted in Kentucky with the aid of the Lexington Humane Society and the Kentucky Humane Society (Louisville). With this event, we celebrated the one-year anniversary of freedom for the beagles! As fur-families, it was very heartwarming to see how the beagles, who were previously insecure and fearful, have thrived and happily played with each other. We had 20 beagles attend from all over Kentucky and the Cincinnati area, with some families driving even up to 3 hours to join in the fun! The support we received from Quantrell Subaru for our event was invaluable! Quantrell Subaru provided treat bags with toys and goodies for each of the e-beagles who attended. We were also able to borrow a banner that helped identify our location to all attendees. We reached out to Quantrell Subaru because we know how important pet causes are to their organization and they did not hesitate to help out! Diana Keating was wonderful to work with! Here are just a few testimonials from some of the families who attended: Quantrell Subaru made a big impact on the human families and the Rescued Envigo Beagles and others, by sponsoring a reunion for the Envigo Beagles. It was awesome to meet the beagles rescued by wonderful families. People travelled from areas all over Kentucky and Ohio, to attend this first-year reunion. The gift that Quantrell Subaru provided for the Beagles was awesome. Ms Liberty got into everything on the way home, in the back seat, she gobbled up all the goodies she could get into. She even played with the Subaru toy! Thank you Quantrell Subaru! It really was a special day for Ms. Liberty and all her family of beagles! She had a blast! ~Carlene Mallory (Ms. Liberty) The Quantrell Subaru sponsorship was amazing! The girls LOVE their toy and the other goodies have gone in our travel bag! Jolene used her Subaru toy as a pillow after the event because she didn’t want to let it go. Jolene and Reba had an amazing time seeing old friends and meeting new ones. ~Amanda Sturgill (Jolene and Reba) I just wanted to say that Martha and Lucy and I had a blast today meeting everyone and their beagles! Thank you all for coming out! ~Anne Gibbons (Martha and Lucy) Thank you Quantrell Subaru! We really appreciated all of the cool stuff in the goodie bag. Tosha and her two brothers especially loved the pumpkin treats and the stuffed car. Tosha also used her Chewbaru as a pillow to wind down her night after our two and half hour drive back home. ~Greg Grote (Tosha) We had a wonderful day at our first Lexington Envigo BeagleFest! All the Beagles were beautiful and well-mannered as they explored and visited their friends. A special thank you to those who organized this special event and to Quantrell Subaru for your donations. Marley and Charley had a great time! We love our Beagle babies! ~Tina Anderson (Marley) The most important outcome for our beagle families were the connections we made at the event. We shared storied of how our beagles have grown, developed, and become confident since being adopted. We created a group of Lexington families so we can get together again at other times of the year. All the attendees asked if we would make this a yearly event, and we will certainly strive to do that as long as we have families attend. We hope that, with the success of this year’s BeagleFest, we will have more beagles and their families join us next year!

Before 2021, my family had no idea that Subaru partnered with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society® (LLS) to donate blankets to patients in hospitals nationwide. My husband got very, very sick in May of 2021, and spent two weeks in the hospital after a fall ended in septic arthritis in his wrist. While in the hospital, the doctors were concerned about some blood work results, scheduled a bone marrow biopsy, and we were given the news the day after he was released that he had Acute Myeloid Leukemia. He was quickly admitted to UK Markey Cancer Center and treated with 10 days of chemo. Unfortunately, after being released from UK, my husband was in and out of the hospital and never fully recovered. He went back into the hospital in Nov of 2021, due to an unknown issue causing infection. During that stay, a representative from Subaru Love Promise delivered a blanket to him. I can't tell you how much it brightened his day. During this time, COVID visitation rules were limiting any family from being with him the way we should have been. So he was depressed, unhappy, and so sick. When I got to see him, the first thing he showed me was his blanket. He was so happy with it. He stayed cold and he was able to use it to keep him warm. Not too long after that, on Dec 2, 2021, we lost him. Thank you so much for what you do. Even if no ones says Thank You or shares their story, please know that you are doing something special for those suffering and for the families.

It is truly amazing when you feel the support of your community. When you feel it consistently and in big ways, that's love! Subaru Love Promise® has allowed my staff to feel loved and supported this year. Right before we welcomed kids into the building our staff was gifted a beautiful box of supplies and a gift card to purchase additional items to their classrooms! Now teachers can focus on teaching at high levels and not have to worry about our student needing anything in the way of resources! We are beyond grateful for this community partnership!

Quantrell Auto Group sponsored new backpacks filled with new school supplies to giveaway at the Carnegie Center's annual Back to School Bash. This year, we had over 500 people in attendance and gave away over 200 backpacks filled with new school supplies. Families also enjoyed carnival games and a catered meal from Thompson Catering, stilt walkers and balloon animals from Best Party Ever, face painting from Dynamic Face Paint, and art activities from Art on the Move. We gave away over 400 books to families as well. Attendees shared how much this event means to them. One said, "We love this event, thank you!" and another said, "You know it's a success when you run out of stuff." We are incredibly thankful to Quantrell Auto Group for their partnership in hosting this free day of arts, crafts, literature, food, fun, and school supplies to our community's children.

One Parent Scholar House is a Program for full time College students who are single parents. We have 80 apartments on site and Community Action Council runs our Child Development Center. At One Parent one of our main focuses are education for the family. This year Quantrell Subaru donated backpacks filled with school supplies for all of our school age children as well as our residents who are in College through their Subaru Loves Learning Initiative. All of our residents were extremely grateful to receive their backpacks and are excited for the upcoming school year. Thank you Quantrell Subaru for making this event possible, we could not have done it without you!

The Lexington Humane Society, Central Kentucky's largest adoption agency appreciates Quantrell Subaru's support of Mutt Strut. As an organization who has no time limits on how long an animal lives with us while searching for a new home and who has maintained a average 94% save rate for over 16 years, we rely on the support of businesses who support our mission, our efforts, and our impact. As the largest no-kill shelter in the region, we value the support of Quantrell Subaru given Subaru's strong support of shelters nationally. Not only do we appreciate the sponsorship of Mutt Strut, we appreciate the sales and service team at Quantrell as both our President and Vice President recently purchased new vehicles from you. It nice to see us supporting each other in the community we love. We look forward to growing our relationship as Quantrell learns more about the Lexington Humane Society and all we do for the 4000+ homeless but hopeful animals we care for each year, our life-saving programs, and our exceptional reputation in the community.

Taste of the Bluegrass is a gourmet tasting event held in Lexington each spring by God’s Pantry Food Bank, with dozens of local purveyors bringing the best food and drink they have to offer in an array of menu categories. For the Food Bank, our core mission work of reducing hunger by working together to feed Kentucky communities remains at the center of everything we do, and this event is no different. That’s why hosting the 41st annual Taste of the Bluegrass at our soon-to-be home on Innovation Drive was so special. This event provided the opportunity to showcase our new space, which will feature double the cooler and freezer capacity, expanded dry storage, and ample room for staff and volunteers once renovated. With this new warehouse, the Food Bank can move closer to filling in the missing meal gap for more than 220,00 people experiencing hunger in our 50-county service area. The event also acts as a springboard for new and upcoming restaurants and allows long-time favorites the chance to showcase their best dishes and drinks. Three Moms Pops, a popsicle vendor and first-time Taste participant raved about the experience, “Sharing our pops and our story alongside so many friends and fellow vendors in support of God’s Pantry [Food Bank] was such a joyful experience. We live in an awesome community, capable of such much good. We’re glad to be a part of it!” This event could not happen without long-time supporters like Quantrell Subaru. The team at Quantrell was willing to take a leap of faith and sponsor this favorite event at a brand-new location. Quantrell Subaru has been actively living the Subaru vision of respecting all people and making a positive impact in the world, and this is evident in their 25-year support of God’s Pantry Food Bank on behalf of Central and Eastern Kentuckians facing hunger. Thank you Quantrell Subaru!

Diana Keating from Subaru visited our school again this year for Earth Day. She assisted our students in planting their own flowers and it was a wonderful activity as they learned about sustainability of our Earth. Thank you Subaru and Ms. Keating for taking the time to work with our youth about loving our Earth.

Diana Keating from Subaru in Lexington, KY visited our school in April 2023 for Earth Day. She brought flowers for students to plant and gave them each a bento box that was made from recyclable material. Students enjoyed the activity so much while learning about Earth Day and why it is important. One student said "This was the best day ever! I got to plant flowers of my own and got a bento box for my food that was made of recycled materials! I love it so much!" Students learned why recycling is important and why sustaining our earth's materials is important. Thank you Diana Keating and Subaru for providing our students with such a fun day of hands on learning!

More than 550 volunteers came out to plant seedlings and young trees at the 2023 Reforest the Bluegrass event on April 15. When the event ended, 7,000 trees had been planted in Hisle Farm Park. “Each and every one of the trees is being planted with love,” said Kirstin Miraski, a volunteer. More than 207,000 trees have been planted during Reforest the Bluegrass events over the past 24 years. Again this year, the Quantrell Subaru stepped up and financially supported the Reforest the Bluegrass program. Subaru says its retailers believe in making the world a better place. Through its support of Reforest the Bluegrass and other community programs, Quantrell Subaru demonstrates that they care deeply about Lexington and its people.

Quantrell Subaru has been a long time supporter of Lexington Habitat for Humanity and our mission to build homes, communities, and hope. We depend on the support of our community partners to operate our programs for affordable housing and critical home repairs. Diana went above and beyond to secure Quantrell Subaru as a Presenting Sponsor for Lexington Habitat for Humanity's Shamrock Shuffle 3K. This annual fun run is a critical piece to funding our efforts to end housing poverty in Fayette County. Their support translates to more lumber, more nails, and more homes for families in need. Lexington Habitat for Humanity can't thank Quantrell Subaru enough for this partnership!

Quantrell Subaru has such a heart for the homeless animals at Woodford Humane! Diana delivered a carload of supplies, from essentials like food and cleaning supplies to tasty treats and some of the coziest blankets we've ever seen. We are so grateful to have a community partner like Quantrell Subaru who keeps the animals in mind all year round.

Bluegrass Families First established the Jean Sabharwal Award in 2014 to recognize individuals or groups in Lexington who have demonstrated passionate advocacy for young children and their families. This year, we were grateful to have the support of Quantrell Subaru as a major sponsor to honor Melanie Tyner-Wilson with the 2023 Jean Sabharwal Award. For much of her life, Ms. Tyner-Wilson has supported and advocated for families with children diagnosed with developmental or intellectual disabilities with the goal of enhancing quality of life. Her work, both past and present, has ranged from direct support to parents to far-reaching educational and legislative policy advocacy. Ms. Tyner-Wilson’s background, professional and personal experiences have made her among our city’s and state’s most valued assets when it comes to advocacy specific to developmental or intellectual challenges. She has served numerous boards, organizations and institutions and continues this involvement currently with Arc of Central Kentucky, Arc of Kentucky, Autism Society of the Bluegrass, Kentucky Autism Commission and Access Lexington. Ms. Tyner Wilson’s contributions were honored at a luncheon held March 15, 2023 at the Kentucky Castle. This important recognition is made possible by the support of partners like Quantrell Subaru, who understand the value of investing in the youngest members of our community.

Quantrell Subaru has been a longtime Hope Center supporter and has gone above and beyond, providing excellent care to support our cause. The mission of the Hope Center is to care for homeless and at-risk persons by providing life-sustaining and life-rebuilding services that are comprehensive and address underlying causes. Diana at Quantrell Subaru delivered a carful of food, clothing, and hygiene products that will be used directly to support our clients. These items will keep our clients nourished, warm, and clean, and we are so thankful to have Quantrell Subaru’s support so that we can provide the very best care to our clients!

The Nest depends on support from our community to operate our four, free programs: Child Care, Parenting, Family Assistance, and Intimate Partner Violence. Quantrell Subaru consistently demonstrates their commitment to vulnerable residents in our city. This year, The Nest is seeing twice as many people in our Family Assistance Program. Approximately 600 people each month are in need of basic necessity items which include diapers and car seats. Remarkably, and to our delight, Quantrell Subaru donated 3,277 diapers and 12 new car seats! The timing meant a lot to two of our families who happened to have babies in NICU and weren't able to bring them home without car seats. The Nest is so grateful to have Quantrell Subaru as a partner. We cannot thank them enough for their unwavering support and tremendous generosity!

The Mission of HOPE has been serving the people of Southeastern Kentucky since 1996. This 501C-3 non-profit works with over 53 different ministry centers as well as 29 elementary schools throughout the areas of rural Appalachia. Over the past few months, the Mission of HOPE Christmas program has been delivering the HOPE of Christmas to 29 elementary school partners. This year, the program was able to deliver: new toys, warm clothing, food and hygiene products to over 13,000 students. 2022 donations exceeded previous years which was especially important due to the recent Eastern Kentucky flooding. It would be impossible to serve all of the students without the support of donors who believe in helping those who cannot help themselves. Quantrell Subaru in Lexington, Kentucky, teamed up with WKYT, the local CBS News affiliate to support the Mission of HOPE. Quantrell Subaru partnered in the Pack the Lobby event on November 29th, 2022 by donating monetarily toward buying new toys, clothing and hygiene items as well as collected new toys at their dealership to bring to the Pack the Lobby event. Sponsorships like these, allow for the continuation of bringing the HOPE of Christmas to those in rural Appalachia. Note: The picture in the school gymnasium was one of 29 deliveries this season.

October is always a special month at Woodford Humane Society, thanks to Quantrell Subaru! The Subaru Loves Pets Month festivities don't just support our organization, they also help pets find homes. That's more important than ever right now, when shelters everywhere - ourselves included - are struggling with severe overcrowding and slow adoptions. Two of our lucky adoptees during this Subaru Loves Pets Month are Snow and Cammie. Snow, a beautiful long-haired cat, had been with us since July. She lost her home when her family moved - an all too common occurrence. But Snow was also 10 years old when her life got turned upside down. As a senior in a shelter, she didn't get the same attention from adopters that her younger counterparts did. It looked like she was in for a long wait. But thanks to the extra attention Subaru Loves Pets Month places on Underdogs - including seniors - she found her forever family and is now happily settled in at home. Cammie, a 6 year old pit bull mix, didn't technically qualify as an official Underdog; but this girl can tell you, it can be tough to find a home regardless. Cammie was one of our longest-term residents, spending almost 300 days in our care. She had already been adopted and returned twice before, an experience that must have been so disheartening for her each time. But thanks to Subaru Loves Pets Month and Quantrell Subaru, the third time was the charm for Cammie: she finally found a home that's a great fit, her adoption is final, and she's off living her best life! Thank you Quantrell Subaru for making October a special month for these two pets and dozens of others. Your support changes the world one pet at a time!

On November 7th, 2022, Quantrell Subaru and the American Red Cross joined together to bring awareness for the need of blood and blood products by hosting a blood drive. As holidays are nearing, the blood supply will decrease as people are traveling and spending time with family, which could lead to a blood shortage. This means there are patients who are not being treated because the donations are not there. This is why we are so appreciative of Quantrell and the support they provide, by hosting blood drives at their location! Through all the efforts of everyone who participated, we were able to collect 18 lifesaving units! Huge thank you to all the donors who came out, and a huge thank you to Quantrell for truly caring! Another thank you to Diana for being a great Blood Program Leader and assisting us in making the blood drives a huge success!

Rock climbing in Kentucky’s Red River Gorge has been consistently growing in popularity for the past 30 years — growing from a handful of sport climbing routes in the 1990s to several thousand established routes that climbers from across the globe enjoy today. While subjective, many now refer to the Red River Gorge as the sport climbing mecca of the world. The Red River Gorge Climbers’ Coalition is a group of passionate individuals who advocate for the responsible growth of climbing within this special and fragile ecosystem. This 501c3 nonprofit is responsible for securing new land, building and maintaining trails, educating the climbing community, and organizing its single largest fundraising event of the year — Rocktoberfest. Rocktoberfest brings people from all over the world to celebrate the local climbing community, support the Red River Gorge Climbers’ Coalition, and enjoy the sandstone cliffs and perfect fall weather. This event brings in thousands of dollars each year that ensures climbing continues to grow in Southeast Kentucky. Without the support from sponsors and attendees alike, this event would not be possible. Since 2019, the title sponsor and largest supporter of this event has been Quantrell Subaru. Because while most climbers dream of living in the mountains, The Gorge is simply a place to play on the weekends. The city is still predominantly where most climbers work and live. From morning commutes to weekend getaways, climbers across the Southeast have been relying on Subaru to get them out of the city and into the woods for years. And now, the Red River Gorge Climbers’ Coalition relies on Quantrell Subaru to help them ensure that one of Kentucky’s newest and most exciting sports continues to grow across Eastern Kentucky.

Chrysalis House wishes to express sincere gratitude to Quantrell Subaru for sponsoring the Back-to-School event for the 40 families living at its Serenity Apartments. Quantrell Subaru organized the event to provide school aged children living at Serenity Apartments with school supplies. Families were treated to Chick-fil-a and Kona Ice in a fun block-party style atmosphere complete with music and back-to-school pictures. The children were all given gift cards for new shoes, new backpacks, a water bottle and lunch box, and most of the supplies requested by their schools to help them be prepared for a successful school year. For these mostly single mothers, the event was a blessing and helped ease the stress of back-to-school planning and buying. The children had a wonderful time and will be starting school looking sharp while wearing new shoes and having the school supplies they need to shine in the classroom! The support of Subaru and their patrons has shown these families that the community has embraced them and is willing to generously support their paths to bright futures.

Quantrell Subaru recently expressed their ongoing support of Lexington Habitat for Humanity by sponsoring one of our most important fundraisers, our annual golf tournament! As the presenting sponsor, they were vital to the event's success. Support from generous partners like Quantrell Subaru makes it possible for us to build and rehabilitate homes with local, low-income families- families like Stephany and her four children. Previously, they shared a tiny two bedroom apartment in substandard conditions. Now, with support from Lexington Habitat and partners like Quantrell Subaru, they have a safe, stable, affordable home of their own for the first time. While recently moving in, the children said what they looked forward to most is celebrating birthdays in their new home. They have never been able to host a birthday party before due to limited space. Thank you for changing lives with us, Quantrell Subaru!

When torrential rains brought catastrophic flooding to Appalachian Eastern Kentucky, the community had nobody to turn to. Unrelenting, heavy downpours moved across Eastern Kentucky, leading to a climbing death toll, more than 1,600 homes destroyed, and countless people missing. The region still faces destroyed roads, power outages, and a lack of clean drinking water. Quantrell Subaru, dedicated to its relationship with Appalachia, held a two-week Kentucky Flood Relief donation drive to meet the urgent needs of these struggling communities. The effort saw employees and customers donating cases of bottled water, boxes of apple sauce, baby food, toiletries, diapers, cleaning supplies, fans, tents, sleeping bags, and more to help those in need. When it was time to distribute the repellent, tents, sleeping bags, cleaning supplies and much more totaling over $14,000 in donations, Quantrell Subaru partnered with Little Guys Movers to deliver these generous donations to the First Church of God in Jackson, Kentucky. After most goods were given to the church, Quantrell employees loaded their Subarus and donated their time, driving door-to-door to provide direct relief to residents. During their time in Eastern Kentucky, the Quantrell Subaru team realized one trip would not be enough. More work was needed to make a meaningful impact. On August 26th, 2022, the team used their personal vehicles and rented trailers to bring additional support and supplies to the hardest-hit areas of Eastern Kentucky. When they returned to what locals call "The Happy Church" in Jackson, Kentucky, the conditions were worse than their last visit. They found the area to be, as locals described, with the “roads completely washed away…downed power lines…mud covering trees, homes, anything in its path." A member of The Happy Church recounted, "One family lost everything they had except their car, so they are using it to distribute items to people who don't have transportation. They said the pantry was 'the spot of light cutting through all this darkness.'" Subaru was generous enough to donate 500 blankets to Eastern Kentucky, but the work isn't done. The region requires all hands on deck for the foreseeable future, and the touching stories we’ve heard have inspired Quantrell Subaru team members to commit to delivering supplies, help, and hope to those who are struggling through this tough time.

Over 250 children and parents attended this year’s Back to School Bash on July 31st, which was moved into the Carnegie Center building due to rainy weather. We gave away 150 backpacks filled with supplies to the kids at the event, and also had about 110 backpacks that we donated to a community center serving low income kids. In addition, we gave out 200 free books, more school supplies, and lots of fun raffle items so that families left feeling prepared and excited about the new school year. All of this was provided in our festive, interactive carnival atmosphere--complete with fresh popcorn, cotton candy, balloon animals, carnival games, stilt walking and face painting. Children enjoyed the fun educational activities along with the craft table hosted by On the Move Art Studio. We also served a catered meal for all in attendance, rounding out a memorable afternoon. Videos from the event are posted on Carnegie’s Instagram page at https://www.instagram.com/carnegiecenterlex/.

Quantrell Subaru teamed up with us at the American Red Cross to donate the life-saving gift of blood. We have been working with them for two years and have received 86 units of blood! We are so thankful for their partnership and the willingness of the donors to give, help save lives, and re-establish our blood supply that had faltered during the pandemic. Diana has been an amazing Blood Program Leader and we are so thankful for our partnership and hard work!

The 40th Taste of the Bluegrass, Lexington’s longest-running food tasting event, was held at Keeneland on May 13, 2022. With Quantrell Subaru as the Presenting Sponsor, the largest annual in-person fundraiser for God’s Pantry Food Bank took place for the first time since 2019. COVID-19 pandemic restrictions canceled this popular event in 2020 and 2021. Raising $141,250 to help the Food Bank provide 1.13 million meals, Taste of the Bluegrass would not be possible without the help of longtime supporter Quantrell Subaru. Attended by 825 guests, this special evening highlighted delicious food and beverages from 51 premier restaurants, caterers, breweries, and wineries. Enjoying the dance-inspiring music of the Mercy Men, attendees also participated in a silent auction, a Kendra Scott jewelry pull, and a Kentucky Bourbon Pull. Emcee for the evening was spirits writer and bourbon authority Fred Minnick, who brought much energy and enthusiasm to the fun activities. Fundraising events like Taste of the Bluegrass increase awareness of the ongoing need for emergency food resources. “Quantrell Subaru’s commitment to serving those experiencing hunger in Central and Eastern Kentucky has been evident in their 24-year history supporting God’s Pantry Food Bank,” said Michael Halligan, CEO. “Their gifts have helped the Food Bank host Taste of the Bluegrass for many years, in turn helping ensure nutritious food reaches the tables of those who are uncertain about their next meal. They bring hope to those facing hunger.” Since 1998, the owners and staff at Quantrell have partnered with the Food Bank to help thousands of the more than 250,000 neighbors facing food insecurity across Central and Eastern Kentucky have access to food so they can work, learn and thrive during difficult times. Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of the Quantrell Auto Group and the Subaru Love Promise Program, these crucial financial resources help sustain critical hunger relief efforts. Throughout the Commonwealth, 1 in 7 people – kids, teens, and adults – simply don’t know how they will put enough food on their tables to feed everyone in their households. In Central and Eastern Kentucky, the food insecurity rate increases to 1 in 6! For 67 years, the Food Bank has worked with local and regional nonprofit organizations to support those experiencing hunger across its 50-county service area. Today, through this network of more than 450 food pantries and meal programs, neighbors who need emergency food assistance have access to fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, dairy, and bakery goods, along with a wide array of shelf-stable food products. The mission of God’s Pantry Food Bank, reducing hunger by working together to feed Kentucky communities, was highlighted at Taste of the Bluegrass, enabling full use of all food prepared by the participating vendors. At the evening’s end, our Food Rescue Team accepted more than 350 pounds of gourmet food, such as beef short ribs, premium Bundt cakes, and tasty macaroni and cheese. These scrumptious entrees and desserts were donated to Moveable Feast Lexington, which used the food in nourishing meals prepared and delivered to patients and their families in Fayette County. Combining the Subaru Love Promise to make the world a better place and Quantrell’s vision of respecting all people through its dedication to customers and community, this special partnership with the Food Bank goes above and beyond to nourish the lives of every Kentuckian. Thank you Quantrell Subaru for making the 40th Taste of the Bluegrass an incredible success!

Diana Keating and another Subaru employee visited us at Booker T. Washington Elementary on Earth Day. Diana had contacted me about coming over to do an Earth Day activity with our students. When they arrived they had the most beautiful flowers for our students to plant and take home. They talked with our students extensively about how Subaru works to be Green and help our Earth. The students really enjoyed the activity and were so excited to take home such beautiful flowers to their families. It was a wonderful event and one our students will remember! Thank you for visiting our school!

Quantrell Subaru absolutely went above and beyond for Pony Up for The Nest. This event, held annually in the Phoenix Room at Keeneland, was our first gathering of 2022. The funds raised from this occasion are very important, as first quarter is typically lean in donations following the holiday season. Quantrell Subaru's sponsorship helped us meet the fundraising goal for cleaning supplies in our Family Assistance Program. The Spring Meet helped our families obtain Spring cleaning supplies. Cleaning item donations are often overlooked and scarce but crucial for our families' health. We cannot thank Quantrell Subaru enough for their continuous support and generosity. The Nest is grateful for this incredible partnership!

For more than 50 years now, the Quantrell Auto Group has been deeply rooted in Lexington and has repeatedly demonstrated its commitment to making our community a better place. In 2022, as it has for the previous three years, Quantrell Subaru stepped up and financially supported the Reforest the Bluegrass program, Lexington’s annual tree planting event. More than 250 dedicated volunteers and city employees braved the cold, rain, sleet and snow to plant 4,500 trees in Belleau Woods Park on April 9. One of those volunteers was five-year-old Elsie. “This was my daughter’s first time at Reforest the Bluegrass and she loved it,” says her mother, Amy. “The staff was so friendly and one even helped her plant a tree. She is excited to go back and visit it, and now she’s asking about planting trees at home. Thank you for a wonderful event.” Another was 10-time participant Karen who says she takes part because she likes helping the environment. “The sponsors donate the trees, but they need people to put them in the ground.” Karen, 71, planted 10 trees at the event. Subaru says its retailers believe in making the world a better place. Through its support of the Reforest the Bluegrass and other community programs, Quantrell Subaru shows Lexington that they are rooted in making our lives better.

Quantrell Subaru is a returning sponsor for the 16th Annual Shamrock Shuffle 3K for the third year in a row! Because of supporters like Quantrell Subaru, hundreds of folks throughout our community are sleeping in a safe, warm, stable home of their own tonight. Warren, who is blind, is now able to safely navigate his home with accessibility modifications. Neema has the vegetable garden she’s always dreamed of. Gerald and Martha can’t stop saying how happy they are to have a washer and dryer for the first time. Quantrell Subaru continues to help bring quality, affordable housing within reach of more of our neighbors like Warren, Neema, Gerald and Martha. It makes our community a better place to live for us all. They are changing lives.

On March 26th, 2022, Quantrell Subaru, was the Presenting Sponsor of “PROM: All Grown Up!” This amazing, annual fundraiser benefited Early Bird Foundation, Inc., a local non-profit with focus on encouraging and empowering Kentucky families with babies in neonatal intensive care units (NICU).The event was held at the Embassy of Lexington Green and was of great success. 135+ attendees from all across the commonwealth gathered together to raise over $17,000.00 for KY NICU families! Early Bird Foundation, Inc. couldn’t have had this success without Quantrell Subaru’s involvement; the organization appreciates the company’s leadership in the community, philanthropy goals, and especially the generous support and advocacy for KY NICU families! *Pictured above (left to right) is Lyndsey Lewis, Co-Executive Director of Early Bird Foundation, Inc. our Prom Queen and King, Diana Keating, Marketing Director for Quantrell Auto Group, and Ashton Tackett, Co-Executive Director of Early Bird Foundation, Inc.

The Nest's Family Assistance Program provides approximately 450 people each month with basic necessity items. One of the most requested and expensive of these items is diapers. Therefore, we had a diaper drive event in the hopes of securing quantity needed for the rest of the year. The Nest's goal was 30,000 diapers. Unbelievably, we received over 60,000 diapers! A significant amount of the diaper donation came from Quantrell Subaru. They absolutely went above and beyond! The Nest is so grateful for Quantrell Subaru's support. We are very fortunate to have them as an unwavering partner and appreciate the many ways in which they assist our four programs. Thank you, Quantrell Subaru, for demonstrating your dedication to helping families in need and for your never-failing commitment to our community!

2021 was the 10th straight year that Quantrell Subaru has sponsored Woodford Humane Society's Adoption Drive and helped us send animals to their forever homes in time for the holidays! This December added 145 more lucky cats and dogs to the tally of adoptees that Quantrell Subaru has sponsored - a list that numbers well over 1000. The Adoption Drive also makes it possible for Woodford Humane to help out other overcrowded shelters around Central Kentucky: this year, dozens of dogs and cats from other counties were able to transfer to Woodford Humane and find their forever homes. Thank you so much, Quantrell Subaru! What an amazing gift to give not just Woodford Humane Society and each of the adopted animals, but their families, too!

Once again, Quantrell Subaru has gone above and beyond for The Nest! They not only sponsored our Reindeer Express event but participated through making donations and volunteering. Beside us every step of the way, Quantrell Subaru facilitated our ability to provide the children of approximately 400 families with coats, gloves, toys, books, art supplies, wrapping paper and food boxes. Struggling families were able to have a more enjoyable holiday season as a result. We rely on community support and are most grateful for Quantrell Subaru's steadfast partnership. The past several years have been challenging for so many people. It's extraordinary to witness and receive the support and generosity of Quantrell Subaru is times of tremendous need. Thank you, Quantrell Subaru!

Chrysalis House is so grateful to Quantrell Subaru for sharing the love with the brave women who have made the choice to commit to living in recovery from a substance use disorder. Quantrell Subaru’s Love Promise to Chrysalis House means mothers will be given items to meet their basic needs and the basic needs of their infants and toddlers. Through Quantrell Subaru’s Share the Love Program, Chrysalis House received 125 backpack diaper bags filled with baby essentials and 125 totes filled with personal hygiene items for mom, sheet sets, and pillows. Just as a backpack - this program will carry some of the burden to provide essentials for pregnant or parenting women when they arrive for admission at Chrysalis House. This simple act of kindness and the Love Promise demonstrates to each woman served at Chrysalis House that the community cares about them and their families. The Share the Love Program is paying it forward, and allows Chrysalis House to provide much needed items that help alleviate a source of stress for the moms who are working so hard to change the trajectory of their lives. Thank you Quantrell Subaru and the consumers who made Chrysalis House their charity of choice, for investing in the community and believing in resiliency, second chances, and the possibility of recovery.

We are so thankful that Subaru chooses to donate to the Hope Center during the winter months. Subaru marketing director, Diana dropped off 5 boxes of blankets and 1 box of socks to our Emergency Shelter in November and we could not be more appreciative. These blankets and socks will keep our clients so warm this winter season!

Woodford Humane Society is always excited to partner with Quantrell Subaru, so when Subaru Loves Pets Month rolled around in October, we were all in. Thanks to Quantrell Subaru sharing our adoptable pets each day and a fun "Make A Dog's Day" event at the dealership, 48 pets found their forever homes. That number includes 4 certified "Underdog" seniors, and one of those - Leah, a 15+ year old beagle - is very likely the oldest dog we have ever adopted out! We are so grateful to Quantrell Subaru for shining a much-needed light on homeless pets, and especially the ones that are so often overlooked. From pet with chronic conditions and disabilities, to long-term residents, to seniors, to hoarding survivors, to pets who simply found themselves caught up in the messy lives of humans, each and every pet that Quantrell helped us place in October says a big THANK YOU! Pictured are Dylan (9 year old English setter), Leah (15 year old beagle), and Pearl (10 year old border collie) - Three of our adopted seniors!

We love ❤️ Quantrell Subaru and their commitment to serving with Meals on Wheels of Lexington! The second Tuesday of each month a Quantrell staff member arrives at the kitchen of Trinity Church, where they pick up a hot nutritious meal and deliver them to the home of shut-ins in North East Lexington! We serve an at risk population, with the bulk of our recipients being elderly, who are no longer able to shop for and prepare their own meals. We also serve those with physical and mental disabilities, those who are terminally ill, as well as our veterans who are often forgotten. Our volunteers not only deliver a meal but they provide a well check, a kind word, a smile, and human interaction that shut ins are so hungry for! Many times our volunteers are the only persons these shut-ins see! During the on-going pandemic the number of people we serve has doubled , and volunteers like Quantrell make feeding Meals on Wheels people possible! We have served over 130,000 meals so far this year. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Quantrell! Thank you for making a difference in the lives of others, you are certainly living up to your “Love Promise” Well done Quantrell Subaru!

We are so thankul that Subaru chose to invest in Russell Cave! This opportunity has allowed us to rebrand our entire library! Libraries often serve as the heart of the school and we wanted our library to reflect our love for learning. We are updating seating to be more flexible and provide for a more collaborative environment. Also, we are adding book nooks for reading spaces. Most importantly, we are adding a Maker Space area that will allow our students to design, engineer and problem solve creatively! We are so excited that we are able to give our students the chance to think outside the box and to continue learning at even higher levels than before!

The Carnegie Center for Literacy and Learning is an educational and literary arts nonprofit located in the heart of Lexington, KY. For over 10 years, Carnegie Center has been supporting families by providing free themed family events. One of our most well-attended events is Back to School Bash which is typically held in late July. Quantrell Subaru went above and beyond by not only electing to be the event's Presenting Sponsor, but also by coordinating a school supply drive to better equip children for the upcoming school year. With their gracious support, we were able to purchase over 100 new backpacks filled with school supplies and organize a free, family-friendly bash in Gratz Park. Families enjoyed backpacks, new books, BBQ, live music, crafts, and an inflatable slide. ABC36 news was there to report on the successful event that draws hundreds each year. Thanks to Subaru's generous sponsorship, we were able to expand the event and the number of families served. Thank you so much for supporting education! -Erica Cook, Carnegie Center Outreach & Volunteer Director

Quantrell Subaru returned as the Lunch Rest Stop Sponsor for 2021 Bike MS: Bluegrass Bourbon Ride. With their support of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Bike MS raised over $100,000 with 90 cyclists and many dedicated sponsors, like Quantrell Subaru. Because of Subaru’s love, the Society continues to connect and inform people affected by MS across the country by enhancing the virtual programming and in-person opportunities that respond to timely and relevant topics of interest. The Society connects people with each other to foster strength and resilience as they handle the challenges of MS. Bike MS always enjoy partnering with Subaru and sharing their love and passion for helping find a cure and ending MS forever.

On June 7th, Quantrell Subaru and the Red Cross joined together to bring awareness to the need for blood and blood products to treat cancer patients, and combat a severe blood shortage, by hosting a blood drive. "Right now, the Red Cross has only a 1/2 day supply of blood to meet local need! This means their are patients who are not being treated because the donations are not there" states Ryan Brown, Area Account Manager for the Red Cross Blood Services. "This is why we are so appreciative of Quantrell and the support they provide, by hosting sites at their location!" Through all the efforts of everyone who participated, we were able to collect 14 lifesaving units! This will potentially impact 42 lives! Huge thank you to all the donors who came out, and a huge thank you to Quantrell for truly caring!

Quantrell Subaru once again showed love for Lexington and the environment through its partnership with Lexington’s Division of Environmental Services in support of Reforest the Bluegrass. Though Reforest had to look different in 2021, the importance of planting trees was not overlooked by community partners like Quantrell. Thanks to the support of Quantrell Subaru and other tree advocates, we were able to adapt Reforest the Bluegrass for pandemic conditions by hosting a series of nine small planting events in neighborhood green spaces over a series of three weekends; these were smaller-scaler versions of our traditional, one-day, one-location planting event. Over 400 volunteers registered to help! We were also able to carry out Reforest at Home, a program providing trees to the community to be planted in back yards. In total, over 6,000 tree seedlings were planted throughout the city. That’s quite an accomplishment! Thank you Quantrell Subaru for recognizing the importance of trees in our community and for supporting Reforest the Bluegrass!

Quantrell Subaru returned as sponsor for our annual Shamrock Shuffle 3K to benefit Lexington Habitat for Humanity for the second year in a row! The Subaru Love Promise is a commitment to supporting passions and causes in the local community and has helped us create more affordable housing right here in Lexington. Because of race sponsors like Quantrell Subaru, Antoine and Cendrielle made their dreams of homeownership a reality! Their children now have their own rooms and space to play. With Quantrell Subaru’s support, families can build strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter. On behalf of these families and everyone at Lexington Habitat, thank you!

Quantrell Subaru's Love Promise was profoundly felt by The Nest-Center for Women, Children & Families! Due to the coronavirus, the past year was very challenging for our organization and the individuals and families we serve. Since 1977, The Nest has been a safe and healing place for individuals and families in crisis, facing adversity, or who have unexpected needs. We provide education, counseling, advocacy, and support in English and Spanish to over 5,000 clients each year. Many of our clients, already facing hardship before COVID, experienced even more difficulties. Unable to rely on our traditional, in-person fundraisers for an entire year, we were tasked with adapting to virtual events and trying to raise the funds needed. The Nest depends on community support to operate our four free programs: Early Childhood Education, Family Assistance for Basic Human Needs, Counseling and Advocacy for Survivors of Intimate Partner Violence, and Education and Support for Parents. We were overjoyed and overwhelmed to receive over $40,000 as the recipient of the Share the Love program! It's been a true blessing, allowing us to make up for last year's losses. The Nest strives to embrace, encourage, and empower individuals, parents, survivors and children while they move toward stability and self-sufficiency. With compassionate, generous partners like Quantrell Subaru, we are able to transform lives and create a safe, equitable, and thriving community!

On a cold and sunny MLK day, donors came to Quantrell to help the Red Cross collect much needed blood donations! Since Covid hit, the Red Cross has had to cancel over a 1,000 drives in our region, resulting in the loss of 100,000's of potentially life saving blood products. According to Ryan Brown, Account Manager for the Red Cross, "This time of year is always a struggle for us, as donations tend to slip off due to holiday travel, and just the normal getting back into the swing of things. Throw in Covid, and you can see why collections are down! Thankfully we have great partners, like Quantrell who allow us to use their facility to collect these very precious and needed donations." With Quantrell's help the Red Cross was able to collect 21 units of blood that can potentially impact 63 lives! Thank you Quantrell for being such a great supporter, and most importantly, helping the Red Cross to save lives!

The students and staff at The Academy for Leadership at Millcreek Elementary were overwhelmed with the supplies we received. This generous donation will allow our children to have the supplies needed to be successful in the classroom. The books we received for the library brought diversity and new adventures for our students to dive in with each new read. The staff bags allowed teachers to have new supplies to use during online and in person learning. Our school family would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the kindness we have been shown, and would like to let you know that you helped so many in such a trying time for all. Thank you again for this tremendous act of kindness and all the help it provided to our school.

For forty-four years, The Nest has held our Reindeer Express holiday event. This event assists families with children five years-of-age and younger who have received services from The Nest within the year. These families are provided with new toys, coats, hats, scarves, gloves, art supplies, and books which will be given to their children as gifts for the holiday season. Every family receives a food box, as well. This year, we had approximately 950 children in need of new gifts and winter wear. We were so fortunate to have Quantrell Subaru as our title sponsor. The coronavirus has made this year more challenging for people already experiencing hardship. We had to make adjustments in carrying out Reindeer Express to ensure the health and safety of everyone involved. The families participated in a “drive-thru” pick-up, where they received their gift bags while remaining in their car to maintain social distancing. The Nest is thankful for our partnership with Quantrell Subaru and grateful for their unwavering commitment to our community. Their generosity and support of Reindeer Express made a tremendous difference in so many lives. Quantrell Subaru put smiles on children's faces and helped families in need have a joyous, holiday season.

October is Subaru Loves Pets Month and Quantrell Subaru made a big impact at Woodford Humane Society this year! By sharing pet stories on social media and pledging a $100 donation per pet for the first 31 cats and dogs adopted in October, Quantrell helped drive interest in adoption - so much so that we more than doubled that goal, with 64 pets finding homes. Those 64 pets included plenty of puppies and kittens, but also some senior pets like Molly. Molly is a 10 1/2 year old bearded collie mix. She wasn't a new face at Woodford Humane; in fact, she had been adopted from us all the way back in 2013 after surviving a truly horrific hoarding case. Her adoptive parents loved her dearly; but when one of them passed away, the other couldn't keep up with her care alone. Thanks to Quantrell Subaru helping get the word out, Molly is now settling in with a new family who love her just as much. The adoption success during Subaru Loves Pets Month was wonderful enough, but Quantrell Subaru didn't stop there! They raised hundreds of dollars with their Subaru Loves Pets Fund, and even matched what they raised, to help Woodford Humane continue providing care for hundreds of animals in need each day. And Quantrell Subaru even hosted an adoption event at the showroom, where our kittens and puppies got tons of love - and for the luckiest few, a forever home. Thanks so much to everyone at Quantrell Subaru for making this year's Subaru Loves Pets Month one to remember! It was certainly a bright spot in a difficult year like 2020.

Quantrell Subaru's donation of blankets to The Nest is most appreciated as the season changes and temperatures drop. For the vulnerable individuals and families we serve, securing basic necessity items, such as toiletries, are at the top of their needs list. Blankets would be an additional expense not many can afford. Quantrell Subaru's generous gift provides warmth, comfort, and one less concern for our individuals and families. We and they are very grateful. Thank you, Quantrell Subaru, for going above and beyond in your generosity, loving support, and dedication to our community!

Once again Quantrell Subaru teamed up with the American Red Cross to provide lifesaving units to patients and hospitals in need! With October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, The American Cancer Society estimates that 276,000 women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with breast cancer in 2020. This means 1 in 8 women in the US will be diagnosed with this debilitating disease. Blood is often a critical part of ensuring that women diagnosed with this disease survive their treatments. On a cool and blustery Monday in October, sixteen donors came out to give and support those who need it most! From their generosity and the efforts of the Red Cross staff, thirteen units of lifesaving/altering blood were collected! These units will potentially impact thirty-nine lives for the better! Thank you Subaru for hosting and supporting this wonderful organization, and helping them fulfill their life saving mission!

Quantrell Subaru is keeping their love promise by partnering with Meals on Wheels of Lexington. We are a volunteer-based humanitarian program that serves a hot meal at noon along with dinner and breakfast for the next morning to homebound seniors, those with disabilities and terminal illnesses. We began our mission in Lexington in 1969 and we are still going strong today thanks to amazing volunteers like those from Quantrell that put their wheels on the road to serve Meals on wheels recipients in Fayette Co. The 2nd Tuesday of each month Quantrell staff members show up to our kitchen to pick up the hot meals ready to hit the road and deliver! During the COVID 19 pandemic Quantrell has remained dedicated to helping and have shown up with face coverings and armed with hand sanitizer. They also had a food drive to help replenish our shelves and gave a monetary gift to help with our mission. The funds were used to purchase a freezer that had just gone out. Perfect Timing! Subaru loves to help, and we want to thank you for staying committed to your love promise and to the Quantrell staff for putting their hands and feet in action by serving our community and making the world a better place!

Quantrell Subaru hosted a Red Cross blood drive in June to help address widespread blood shortages. The American Red Cross is the largest FDA-regulated blood bank in the United States. Every 2 seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood, and 40% of the blood that ultimately makes its way to hospitals starts at an American Red Cross blood drive. Thousands of these donations also go to Central Kentucky each year. Unfortunately, over 30,000 Red Cross blood drives have been canceled between February and June due to COVID-19. Quantrell Subaru provided an open opportunity for employees, customers and other community members to make a life-saving difference. The blood collected at the June blood drive could help up to 78 patients receive critical treatments or surgeries. Quantrell Subaru also provided an opportunity for our team to help beyond drive-day by hosting at a time when the Red Cross are testing for COVID-19 antibodies. Those confirmed to carry antibodies are eligible to donate their plasma to help those who are most ill due to COVID-19 complications. We were very grateful to form a meaningful community connection with the folks at Quantrell Subaru. In all, we can't help anyone without the help of others.

Quantrell Subaru has been a long-standing supporter of Capital City Activity Center over the past several years. Capital City Activity Center’s mission is to enhance senior living for people 50 and above by providing programs, activities and opportunities for education and good health. Quantrell Subaru has joined our community supporting seniors by providing a Crosstrek for our annual ‘Cram the Crosstrek’ Food Drive Event that helps us to restock our emergency food pantry with non-perishable food items to be donated to seniors in need through the Center’s outreach program. They even go above and beyond and help serve a Christmas lunch to our members! Their support helps our mission by providing seniors in need with food at crucial times. We love partnering with Quantrell Subaru during the Subaru Share the Love Event. They’re the wheels, we’re the meals, and senior citizens are the winners! Thank you Quantrell Subaru for your continued generosity and valued partnership in feeding our community.

Quantrell Subaru has been a dedicated supporter of the Hope Center since our inception in 1993. The Hope Center helps people in our community suffering from addiction, mental illness and homelessness. Quantrell Subaru’s support over the past 27 years has provided our clients with food, shelter, clothing, recovery resources and programs, mental health diagnosis and treatment, transitional housing, permanent housing, employment assistance, social services, support for veterans and mobile outreach. Thanks to their generosity, our programs continue to rebuild the lives of people experiencing homelessness and addiction across Lexington and beyond. Each day more than 650 people are receiving the help and treatment they need, empowering them to live happier, healthier and self-sufficient lives. This $14,382 gift from Quantrell Subaru will provide life-changing and life-rebuilding resources for our Hope Center clients. On behalf of everyone who has been impacted by the Hope Center over these 27 years, we thank Quantrell Subaru for their continued generosity.

Quantrell Subaru’s Share the Love is aptly named as this program helped raise over $19,000 for The Nest-Center for Women, Children & Families! Through our Share the Love partnership with Quantrell Subaru, The Nest continues its mission to provide a safe place for education, counseling and support for women, children and families in crisis. Our holistic approach incorporates four free programs: family assistance for basic human needs, education and support for parents, counseling and advocacy for survivors of intimate partner abuse, and a five-star-rated childcare. With Quantrell Subaru’s support, The Nest serves the community with a focus on family stabilization and the prevention of child abuse and neglect, reaching thousands of parents, survivors, and children this year. Quantrell Subaru is dedicated to making the world a better place, and The Nest is extremely grateful for their contribution toward our efforts!

When Quantrell Subaru says “Subaru Loves to Help”, they mean it! Quantrell recently sponsored Lexington Habitat for Humanity’s largest fundraising event of the year, the Shamrock Shuffle 3K. Since the race began 13 years ago, it has helped build or rehabilitate 299 homes in Lexington. Quality, affordable housing changes lives and it would not be possible without support from generous community partners. With Quantrell Subaru’s support, families can build strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter. On behalf of these families and everyone at Lexington Habitat, thank you!

The Lexington Legends are a Minor League Baseball team in Lexington, KY. For years, the Legends and Quantrell Subaru have been partners. This year, we decided to include a different element, the presenting sponsorship of Hit the Books. Hit the Books is the Lexington Legends' reading program. It has two parts. The first part is a bookmark design contest. With the winner being featured on 45,000 bookmarks. Over 5,000 kids from the Bluegrass area submitted their baseball and Legends themed bookmark designs. The second part of the program is where the kids actually "Hit the Books". The 45,000 bookmarks are (normally) distributed to about 100 schools in the Bluegrass. Once each child reads 4 books at their reading level, they can take the bookmark to a Legends game and receive 2 free tickets. We had all the bookmarks out for production and ready to go when COVID-19 hit. With kids being homeschooled and the timeline for school to come back, continually moving, we knew we had to figure out a way to do this program in a new and unique way. We came up with the idea to relaunch the entire program with a bit of a different spin. Before relaunching the new program, we wanted to make sure we acknowledged the kids who were the winners of the original program. We informed them via video through their schools. Then, on Wednesday we officially relaunched the new program. Instead of kids designing a bookmark, they're designing a program ad for our souvenir program. This will be part of a larger Quantell Subaru ad. Kids can also keep their design sheets and use it for 2 free tickets to a Legends game, once the season begins. The design sheet was sent out to our 100k+ e-mail database, as well as posted on the Legends' social media outlets. The benefit of relaunching this program is two-fold. First, it allows the partnership and the program to continue. But secondly, it gives parents and kids something to do while they're stuck at home. The bookmarks that had already been printed will still be distributed once it is safe to do so. If schools go back, we will deliver the bookmarks to the schools. If the schools do not go back into session, we will deliver the bookmarks to libraries, summer camps and stores with matching demographics.

The Adoption Drive, presented by Quantrell Subaru, took Woodford Humane Society by storm in December! Quantrell Subaru sponsored all adoptions during the 2-week event, and the response from the community was huge. Lines of adopters waited at the doors almost every day, and once the dust had settled, hundreds of dogs, cats, and guinea pigs had found their homes. The Adoption Drive's success stories include senior pets, long-term residents, and pets with special needs in addition to plenty of puppies and kittens. Two dogs, a shepherd/pitbull mix named Jax and a boxer named Shelley, had been patiently waiting to be adopted for over a year. A sweet epileptic cat named Flicka found her perfect home. And an 11-year-old gray tabby named Jack got swept off his feet. These are just a few of so many amazing "happily ever afters" made possible by Quantrell Subaru during this winter's Adoption Drive! From all of us, and all of our furry friends: Thank you, Quantrell Subaru, for giving them a ride home.

Quantrell Subaru doesn't just say "Subaru Loves Pets," they act on it! Woodford Humane Society received a fantastic donation of toys, food, treats, and other pet supplies this fall, some specially provided by Subaru and some brought in by Quantrell's generous staff. The squeaky Subaru toys are always a favorite! Thank you, Quantrell Subaru; our staff, volunteers, and especially our dogs and cats are so grateful to have you as part of our pet-loving family!

The Lexington Rescue Mission is a ministry that meets the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of hurting people in the greater Lexington area. We serve the most vulnerable in our community, those who are homeless or living in poverty. The help we provide takes many forms, but we often say it starts with a meal. In 2018, we served 45,631 meals. For the past few years we have been serving lunch four days a week. Due to the need expressed by our guests, we decided to expand our meal service to six days a week beginning in September. A couple of months before this expanded meal service was to begin, Quantrell Subaru contacted us and told us they wanted to support the clients served at the Mission. They told us they wanted to gift us with $200 from each Subaru sold in September. They even took the initiative to come to the Lexington Rescue Mission to take a tour to learn more about our services, and film a video to showcase our program. We couldn't believe such generosity was being offered to us, and at just the time we needed it most. Because of Quantrell Subaru's kindness, many in our community are receiving hot, nutritious meals which in many cases provides us the opportunity to assist with other critical needs such as clothing, housing, or job assistance. Quantrell Subaru significantly impacted the lives of many people in their community with this $22,600 gift. We wish they could see the smiles we see as people come in for a warm meal. On the behalf of everyone who has received help and assistance through this generous gift, we thank Quantrell Subaru from the bottom of our heart.

At the Well of Lexington, we believe in love, and miracles. Much like Subaru and its retailers, we strive to make the world a better place. As a non-profit with the mission of providing a holistic program of safe housing, recovery support, education and healing for women exploited by sex trafficking, we work every day to empower them to reach economic independence and live productive lives throughout our intensive rehabilitation program. While regaining their strength, women of The Well are provided professional support through a life skills coach, medical professionals, social workers and counselors. During this two-year tenure, these incredible survivors-turned-thrivers live a clean, drug free life while advancing their education, finding employment and learning how to trust themselves and others while taking control of their lives. Most importantly, however, our residents learn to have hope again; something every survivor, and every human is entitled to. But because of personal safety reasons, each woman must be escorted and guaranteed transportation at all times in addition to receiving safe transportation to and from all medical and social work appointments, fun community outings, professional growth classes and enterprise opportunities; something that is integral for us to offer our residents on their healing journey, but something that we were struggling with due to a lack of safe transport. This is where Quantrell Subaru stepped in for us in a huge way: by gifting us a 2014 minivan as a donation in 2018. Without this vehicle, we would literally not be able to do what we do for our residents, and this means the world to us! They helped us help others in an incredible, life-changing way when we were at a loss and a crossroads for what to do or where to go to further our mission, and our life’s work. To each person who helped us along the way who provided us exceptional service discreetly and free of judgement, you are amazing and we appreciate you. Because of you, our residents are given the chance to regain their identities, lead a full, impactful life, learn to thrive and take pride in their accomplishments and make the transition from a life of trafficking to one of freedom. And we are so grateful. Thank you, Quantrell Subaru, for sharing the love with us so we can share it with countless others, making the world a brighter place and proving that even in the darkest of times, light and love will conquer all.

Since the founding of the Catholic Action Center in 1999 Quantrell has been an invaluable supporter of the ministry. As an all- volunteer, non-government funded ministry we depend on monetary donations, in kind donations and volunteers from individuals ,faith communities and businesses to support the work of providing food, shelter, and basic human needs to those who are the most disenfranchised in our community. Over 5.9 million meals and 875,00 nights of shelter have been provided thanks to this generosity. Quantrell has stood out as a supporter and the Share the Love partnership has been an amazing blessing. Because of the unbelievable donation of $ 64.960.71 from the Subaru Share the Love we have been able to upgrade our HVAC system that keeps the men and women occupying the 134 beds nightly at the Catholic Action Center cool in the summer and warm in the winter. The costs of operating the Compassionate Caravan that reaches out to those on the streets in the heat of the summer and cold of the winter with life saving supplies are covered for the next year with this donation. We also have been able to provide apartments for families with children who are experiencing homelessness and give them a chance to get on their feet and become independent. The Share the Love funds will cover the support needed for this program to continue for 2 years impacting over 250 women, men and children! It is difficult to put into words the spirit, generosity and support that Quantrell has shared not only with the Catholic Action Center but the effect they have on the entire community of Lexington, KY and beyond. They share the love in so many ways. As Coretta Scott King noted "The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members.." Quantrell exemplifies that compassion and raises the bar of greatness for all of us! With peace and love,Ginny Ramsey, Director and Co-Founder Catholic Action Center

All the staff at Woodford Humane Society and 78 very lucky pets are sending a big thank you to Quantrell Subaru! During the two-week Adoption Drive in December Quantrell Subaru sponsored every single one of Woodford Humane’s adoptions, giving 38 cats and 40 dogs a ride home for the holidays and for good. This was the sixth year that Woodford Humane and Quantrell Subaru have teamed up to find a flurry of year-end forever homes, for a grand total of almost 600 happily-ever-afters for homeless pets. If that doesn’t make your tail wag we don’t know what will!

Quantrell Subaru really lent a helping hand this holiday season during The Subaru Share the Love event in 2018. They provided a Crosstrek for our annual ‘Cram the Crosstrek’ Food Drive Event that helped to restock our emergency food pantry from donations made by our members and guests. They are so willing to help us out to feed the hungry in our community and we are looking forward to working with them again. Our staff, members, Board of Directors and homebound seniors truly appreciate the kindness of Beth, Derek and Quantrell Subaru!

Woodford Humane's pets can't thank Quantrell Subaru enough! Through a running "Pet of the Month" feature, they're helping our dogs find their forever homes. And while the animals wait for those homes to come along, Quantrell is kind enough to collect and donate pet items and cleaning supplies to help make sure their stay at WHS is as happy and healthy as it can be. Thank you so much, from all of us and our furry friends!

We will use these books to ensure that our students have new and exciting books of their own to keep at home and enhance their personal library! We know how important it is to encourage a love of reading and we appreciate our community partners who share our passion for reading! Thank you to Quantrell Subaru!

Quantrell Subaru really stepped up to the “plate” during The Share the Love event 2017. They not only came to help serve to congregate lunches during our Thanksgiving and Christmas Celebrations, but they provided a new 50th edition Outback to help deliver meals to homebound seniors and also for a food drive event we had at our Center that helped to restock our emergency food pantry. They are so willing to help us out and we are looking forward to working with them again to help collect food for our emergency food pantry and to help deliver meals again. Our members and homebound seniors love Derek and Beth!

Quantrell Subaru has been a strong supporter of the Hope Center since our doors opened to serve Lexington’s homeless in 1993. Their nearly $1 million in donations over the last 25 years has enabled us to address the underlying causes of homelessness and help thousands of individuals turn their lives around. In 2002 the Quantrell Subaru family provided funds to build the Ball-Quantrell Jones Recovery Center for Women, Lexington’s first long-term residential recovery facility for women. In 2006, Quantrell Subaru once again answered the call as the need for comprehensive recovery programs grew, and pledged funds to help build the George Privett Recovery Center for Men. Quantrell Subaru has donated five new vehicles for auction, generating nearly $400,000 in revenue for the Hope Center. Reverend Bonnie Quantrell Jones has literally blessed the Hope Center by giving invocations and benedictions at the openings of our new facilities. The financial and spiritual support the Quantrell Subaru family has given continues to save lives every day. With Quantrell Subaru’s assistance, over 800 people each day are overcoming addiction, mental illness and employment barriers, empowering them to live happier, healthier and self-sufficient lives.

You have saved lives. Your "Share the Love" support for the free clinics of Mission Lexington has provided life-saving care to patients who could afford it no other way. One patient came to Mission Lexington’s free medical clinic for help obtaining much-needed asthma medications. Even though he’d lost his job two years ago in sales (in part because of the poor condition of his teeth), he’d had insurance until July, (he’d had Medicaid through the Affordable Care Act), but upon recertification he did not qualify any longer because his wife’s income put him over the limit-- it had increased slightly due to her employer’s addition of one hour per day to her schedule. One of Mission Lexington’s volunteer physicians determined that the patient had gone without medical care for so long that the patient was experiencing a near-fatal ketoacidosis. After his very first visit to our medical clinic, his wife wrote us a note that said, “Words cannot express how deeply I was touched by your kindness. As I left your clinic today, tears just poured down my face. I have never seen anything like Mission Lexington in my entire life. Every one of you made us feel like ‘somebody’ again. Thank you for my husband’s medicine. There is no way we could have afforded this expensive insulin. Thank you for sharing your kindness, your knowledge, your time and most importantly-- your love. Thank you for saving my husband’s life.” This patient received care from the Mission Lexington's free Medical Clinic, free Dental Clinic, and free Pharmacy. The patient continued to receive asthma and diabetes medications while he was also completing a treatment plan at Mission Lexington’s free Dental Clinic. At the conclusion of his course of dental treatment, the patient was pain-free and had a restored smile. Today, he credits Mission Lexington with both saving his life, and giving him a smile with which he could greet potential employers. He now has a job at a car dealership and an income level that makes him no longer need the services we provide.

For the past five years, Quantrell Subaru has given the animals at Woodford Humane and hundreds of Central Kentucky families the most wonderful gift at the holidays by sponsoring our pet adoptions. The 2017 Adoption Drive was a bigger success than we could have ever imagined! 170 dogs, cats, and rabbits found their forever homes over the course of an extremely busy two weeks in December. Among those lucky animals was Princess Buttercup, a sweet senior dog who you'll also see in a Love Promise story below, playing with a Pawstrek squeaky toy donated by Quantrell Subaru. Buttercup got to take her Pawstrek with her when she went home, and she's never been happier! Thank you, Quantrell Subaru, for giving so many pets a ride home!

Quantrell Subaru collected donations for the pets at Woodford Humane this fall, and sent some special gifts of their own, too. Princess Buttercup especially loves the 2017 Pawstrek squeaky toys! Thank you so much for providing toys and treats that bring a little extra joy to these pets as they wait for their forever homes, and starter packs to help them settle in once they do.

In October 2009, while working at Quantrell, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Receiving this news was life altering, and after eight years of strong faith, I am enjoying new life experiences with friends and family, including my son, daughter and soon to be three year old grandson. I am grateful for my work family who is supportive in the fight against breast cancer.

Quantrell Subaru kindly sponsored the National Multiple Sclerosis Society's Bluegrass Bourbon Ride this year to raise money for research to fight multiple sclerosis. I've been a Quantrell customer for sixteen years and felt that requesting a sponsorship made perfect sense because of what Quantrell stands for and what I stand for. This bike ride began on June 24 at Anderson County High School, Lawrenceburg and traveled to Heaven Hill Distillery in Bardstown. Routes took cyclists through horse country and the infamous Bourbon Trail. On Saturday evening, participants enjoyed dinner at Heaven Hill, then stayed overnight in Bardstown. Sunday morning cyclists headed back to Lawrenceburg where they enjoyed an afternoon of finish-line festivities. Thank you to Quantrell for taking part.

A Quantrell Subaru customer traveled to Houston to help with animal relief efforts after Hurricane Harvey. We set out to collect towels, leashes, harnesses, food and water bowls, and unopened bags of dog food. They will need foster families in Lexington for the dogs who lost their families due to the storm.

Cassidy Elementary's first grade students dug right into helping with the Subaru Loves the Earth Initiative! We were delighted to plant additional nectar plants and milkweed for the monarchs in our science garden as the winter months had been quite hard on our garden. Our citizen scientists were especially excited to improve the wildlife habitat with the wonderfully handcrafted bird houses, bird feeders, bird bath, and toad abode provided by our local Subaru dealer. The need for food, water, and shelter were critical elements that these same students had identified as being needed for our outdoor space when they had completed a garden inventory as kindergarteners. It brought such satisfaction to see how our community partnership with Quantrell Subaru helped our school garden achieve all the right parts for a thriving and sustainable wildlife habitat. Quantrell Subaru continues to play a vital role in helping Lexington Humane Society (LHS) continue its mission to Give Love, Teach Love and Adopt Love. They are always receptive to new ideas for helping Lexington's homeless animals and are truly a partner in supporting our life-saving efforts. Continued sponsorships and support from key staff help better our organization and allow us to provide necessary care to the nearly 5,000 animals that come through our doors each year. Their sponsorship of this year's Mutt Strut dog-friendly walk helped raise over $50,000 for homeless animals. In addition to their generous sponsorship they even distributed frisbees to attendees! We are so grateful for their support and hope others will recognize their outstanding support of LHS, the animals and our community. Thank you!

WOW! Quantrell Subaru's 2016 Share the Love Campaign helped raise over $37,000 toward the LHSC mission. With the money raised from this amazing campaign, LHSC is able to continue our mission of teaching children how to listen and talk. Lexington Hearing & Speech Center annually provides services to over 1,200 families from over 65 Kentucky counties and we are honored to have Quantrell Subaru as a partner in our mission of providing sound beginnings.

There are almost no words for how wonderful the Adoption Drive was this year, thanks to Quantrell Subaru. 130 lucky pets found their forever homes - and now, thanks to these empty spaces, we're able to do something we're almost never able to do: help other organizations who are overflowing with animals in need. We know that won't last forever - spring will bring lots of homeless pets with it - but it sure feels good to help right now. Please join us in saying a thousand thank yous to Quantrell Subaru for making this possible, and let's keep these adoptions going so we can continue to help as many pets as possible!

Ever since I purchased my 2011 Subaru, I have been able to haul many things to help others. Food, clothing, personal items and household goods. Donating to homeless shelter(s) and organizations that needed furniture for someone whose home had burnt down. My Lady Baru (the name of my Outback) and I have traveled many miles to accomplish many things. Without her help I never would have been able to travel the many hills and mountains. We also took many things to our veterans at VA hospitals and veterans nursing homes. I love my Lady Baru and she gives me the confidence I need to continue helping me share with others.

Quantrell Subaru chose the Catholic Action Center as the local charity for the 2015 "Share the Love" event. While discussing this event, we determined Quantrell would be the perfect spot for a toy collection site for the annual "Community Christmas Store" sponsored by the Catholic Action Center. Many employees and clients from Quantrell donated new and gently used items for the store, making a difference for many families in the community.

Quantrell is partnering with Keep Lexington Beautiful to "Green Up for Breeders' Cup," a citywide public-private beautification initiative. The initiative supported by public and private partners, is designed to enhance long stretches of four major transportation corridors leading into town. A local landscape architecture firm will professionally design planting beds along those corridors. Once completed, the city's Division of Environmental Services will maintain the beds. "The 2015 Breeders' Cup" will put the global spotlight on Lexington, Mayor Jim Gray said. "This is a great opportunity for us to make Lexington look its best, both now and in the future."

Quantrell Subaru sponsored all adoption fees from December 19 - 31. This is the second year they took care of the adoption fees and another successful event! Last year we had over 70 adoptions in the event period. The final number isn't in yet for 2014 but we are so grateful!
Did Quantrell Subaru go above and beyond, provide exceptional service, or support causes that are important to you? We'd love to hear about it.
